poorly made.the partical wood crumbled & split after one turn of the screw (using a manual old fashioned screw driver).Pre drilled holes & slots were not aligned.its as though the pressed particle wood used was very loose. Have assembled many products over the years made out of this type of material., never has it just fallen apart like this.Not sturdy at all. Will be scared to put anything in it. Horrible value for the money, as it is basically useless.

Not worth your money. The cabinet is very flimsy. i initially could not locate the back panel, as I was looking for another piece of wood. Turns out back is just cardboard and was flat in the bottom of the box.. The instructions were awful. The door hinge for L side opening were not in the correct place. It blocked the placement of the shelf that sits there. My husband had to improvise to get it fit. Reading the the instructions, they were not written so that it could be put together for a L sided opening, even though the booklet said in the first step to choose which side you want to have it open.Overall, waiting to see what Ameriwood customer service will do to resolve this. There is no way I'm going to have this in my kitchen as planned, as the door is not quite in line because of the hinge/bracket issue.

I ordered 2 of these... and I was very concerned after all the negative reviews. After assembling 1 here are my thoughts. It looks great. Plenty of storage. We will be using in a playroom for puzzles, games and such - the size was exactly what we needed.Assembly was pretty straight forward. Everything was labeled and we took time to read everything as a past review suggested.When we stood it up right side it was pretty wobbly. We did need to modify we some felt foot pads and a rubber gripper pad to adjust that. We also used a much stronger anchor to strap it to the wall. Its much better now after our own modifications.UPDATE after assembly of cabinet 2. We were missing one piece, everything was sealed in the part pocket, but we made do. Looks fantastic... again, needed to anchor to wall with stronger option than what was provided and needed to add a small rubber gripper pad for stabilization.Happy with the end result for the purposes we will be using it for!

This is perfect in an area of my kitchen for those small appliances and choppers, slicers that I had down low in cupboards that were too much of a hassle to get to (and I have a bad back). And I also have my water bottles in there, paper towels, and my gormet coffe bags ... lots of room. It came together well. I need to go back and adjust some screws so the door is level but no biggie. And such a reasonable price. I didn't need a heavy duty expensive cupboard/pantry, this one serves me fine and looks real nice.

I should have paid more attention to other reviews. My husband and I purchased this pantry to hold my cookbooks in the kitchen. It would have been perfect IF we could have put it together without too much trouble. Therein lies the problem... the bottom shelf did not line up well with the sides, and we had to try to take it apart and put it back together again. When we did, the pressboard crumbled and there was no way to salvage it. We were already a good 2 hours into putting it together at that point, and this frustration led to a good hour of marital discord. We decided this furniture was not worth our grief, and it ended up in the dumpster. I emailed Amazon with an explanation and received a partial refund. I did see this piece all put together at a local Big Lots, and it seemed quite nice and sturdy and would have been perfect for our kitchen I would say that if you have above-average experience with RTA furniture, go for it. Though my husband and I have put together other furniture in the past, this one stumped us. We ended up with a foldable mission-style bookcase instead-- took it out of the box, set it up, no problems!

Beautiful color but very cheaply made. Unboxed and it had chipped some of the wood on the corners, not all of the holes matched up making it wobbly. It does the job if your needed a kitchen pantry cabinet but not worth the price that was paid unfortunately.
