Q: Do you have to have a mesh tent for them?

Once the caterpillars turn into chrysalis and are about to hatch into butterflies. You will need a mesh cage for the end of the butterfly lifecycle.

Q: How many days does it take for them to hatch from when you receive the caterpillars?

We received our caterpillars on the 10th and they formed their chrysalis on the 22nd. It is supposed to take 10 - 14 days from then for the butterflies to appear. So total should be around 3 - 4 weeks. From the video, you can see when the chrysalis was forming. Very informative and exciting to watch.
