Trendnet switch kit - brilliant!
This is a marvelous device that I had never heard about till I came across it in a magazine recommendation. Looking on Amazon there were cheaper units that had mixed reviews, but this one at twice the price (£20) had nothing but five star ratings, and this is the one I went for. It arrived within 3 days, and despite there being no real installation instructions - only a printed diagram showing which of the supplied cables goes where, I had it up and running in 10 minutes. I now have both my XP and Win7 towers running through the same 24" screen, wireless mouse and keyboard, and speakers. I have both towers running simultaneously, and little switches on the top of the unit marked 1 and 2 allows me to switch between computers with ease. As far as I can see there is no downside to this device, I can work on one computer doing one task whilst the other is burning a disc or similar, switching back and forth between the 2 computers at will. I have no hesitation in recommending this unit to someone who wants to 2 towers together.

4 Port KVM
I have been using the 2 port KVM from Trendnet for past 3 years and recently with addition of some more computers in my lab I wanted to upgrade to a 4 port KVM. Based on the good experience with trendnet KVM I went for this4 port trendnet product. This 4 port KVM replaced my existing KVM and worked almost like plug and play.I installed no new drivers on any of my systems but the systems recognized the device and started as a plug and play. The switching between computers using 'scroll lock' key was already available without doing any configuration.Connected my Vista, Win 7 and Win 8 computers and all are working.Although the product adverts did not mention Win8 as supported or not supported but its working for me.Excellent buy and would surely recommend!

Great resolution and you can use hot keys!
I've got 3 devices (2 lapdocks and 1 server) so ideally wanted the 4 port but couldn't justify 4 times the cost over a 2 port so settled for a 2 port and am using RDP to the server if I need anything from it.This device, although very cheap, has a hot key functionality (hit scroll lock twice within 2 seconds) which works fantastic for me as I have been able to hide this in my cable tidy under the desk.Switching from one device to the other works perfectly and I am getting the full HD resolution on my 23" screens which makes me very happy. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse combo and the switch leaves no lag in waiting for the lapdocks to pick up the keyboard and mouse.I had to drop one star because of an intermittent issue I'm experiencing. A couple of times, I have turned on one of the laptops and the resolution has dropped to very low. I have to unplug the cable from the lapdock, pull the power on the monitor, replug in the cable and it seems to work again. If both machines are on, I've never had this issue and only has happened to me a couple of times out of 10. No idea how to replicate it or how to prevent it yet and it is a slight annoyance.

Yes, it DOES work!
After trying out another brand of KVM switch, purchased twice (2nd one was a replacement) from another shop, neither one of which worked, I began to think KVM switches probably just didn't work. However, this one proved me wrong.. Delivery and packaging was fine. Set-up was straightforward and it all works really well. Occasionally I have to press the port-switch rather than just use the Ctrl+No. There is then a short wait while it switches to my second computer. The wait, however, may have seemed longer due to my bad experience with the previous non-working KVM models. Apart from being neat and the cables sufficient, this model has shown itself to be absolutely ‘just the job’.

It works
It works and comes with everything you need to connect two PCs to one monitor, keyboard and mouse. Can be a little fussy when it comes to USB ports though and some experimentation may be necessary.

Beyond expectations
My two port TRENDnet TK-209 KVM unit has been working without a fault so far straight out of the box. Since purchasing this unit I have built my own computer. The TK-209 has been coping with a combination of any two of my three computers, which are all running Windows 7/64, each with a different NVIDIA graphics card and with no problems. The TRENDnet TK-209 appears to be quite a handy piece of kit.It is, of course, not good practice to keep swapping cables, so now looking to purchase a four port KVM switch. DISABLES MULTI-BOOT OPTIONS AND BIOS ACCESS AND FAILED AFTER 7 MONTHS
It worked OK to begin with once the two PCs were up and running (It doesn't matter what OSs you have), but the USB connections failed after 7 months - a message appeared on windows after booting, declaring that "one of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned" and that windows did not recognise it. There is no way of repairing such devices yourself, of course, so I now have to employ two mice and keep switching over the keyboard to get on with things whilst I decide what new model to buy. It won't be a Trend.

Perfect Solution
The perfect solution when needing 2 PCs connected to 1 single monitor. Easy to set up and use. The only criticism I have is that the Audio cables provided are very short. Extension leads are very inexpensive so it's not a big deal. This TRENDnet kit is PERFECT, best £19 I've spent in ages
