Easy to install and it's strong
I was a little concerned because this was going to hang a pretty heavy slightly older 32 inch LCD TV on very old plaster walls. I found a trick for finding the studs on older walls and went to town. It was pretty easy to install and now feels very secure. The TV is up and the motion is quite fluid and solid. I also enjoy the fact that you can correct for TV level after the installation.P.s. the trick I used for locating studs was to tie a super strong magnet to a string then move it along the wall marking points when the magnet starts to stick on nails.

It's OK
I gave a 5 for installation but a 2 for assembly. As it didn't have bolts to anchor the extension. But that could just be mine. Actually anchoring to wall and tv wasn't difficult though. It OK. It functions for swiveling th TV. But the tilt feature doesn't work an an easy to use manner. Meaning I can't do it with my hands. If you want the screen to stay or you must use a drill or screwdriver to tighten and then everytime you want to adjust it or if will fall and tilt forward. It's really annoying. Otherwise it seems strong and I love having the extra room and watching the TV on the wall.

Great for home use, easy to install, included all parts.
This was easy and straightforward to install. It took me less than 15 minutes (I did have an handy drill and stud finder which made it easier). It is sturdy and it included all the screws to attach the TV to the mount plate and the bolts into the wall. The TV was easily adjusted with the angle and position.Cons: The wall and elbow swivels do not lock or tighten. That is ok for a stationary install at home but won't work for mounting in a RV or boat. This bracket is only suitable for home use. You will not be able to lock the base swivel or elbow swivels so it will not work for any mobile vehicle installation.Cons

Good solid mount install is very easy once you figure out the correct way to do it
After reading install frustrations I decided to semi-ignore the instructions for the most part and just look at the parts. It's very easy takes 15 minutes if there;s no issues with the plate on the wall being on studs or other solid object in the wall to screw into. The instructions did say the mounting plate would be on the arm and to remove it but my kit the plate was already off. Then next is to screw the arm into the wall make sure it's so the arrow on the end of the arm is pointing up to the ceiling. There's arrows on both the plate and end of the arm (where plate goes) point those up. Look closely at how the plate needs to go onto the monitor/TV so you understand which way the plate faces. The key is there's two short bright silver screws that need to be removed before you put the TV on the mounting plate. Just look and make sure the mounting plate (which is what screws into the monitor) is facing the correct way so you can screw in those screws after you hang the monitor on the arm. After you get this right put the mounting plate on the back of the TV with the correct screws (very important take time to choose right size they give you several choices). Once the plate is on the TV in the correct orientation and of course the arm is attached to the wall it is super easy you just get the plate (which is on the back of the monitor) to hang over the lip on the plate on the end of the arm and it will just sit there while you get those two small bright silver screws and screw them from behind the monitor back into the mounting plate (which is of course screwed into the monitor and now hanging from the end of the arm). Once you get those 2 screws in you are 95% done. The hardest thing for me was to get the two plastic cover pieces that cover up the plate which is screwed into the wall. Took my 10 min. messing with it. I did notice one BIG problem however. I had leveled the monitor arm (while marking where the screws would go in) and it was perfect when the arm was sticking straight out 90 degrees from the wall. But then when the monitor gets swiveled into another position it's not level anymore. So I did what they say to do and now it's level in the position I use but not level in the stored away position. Bit of a annoyance but overall for the money it's a good wall mount. I believe my monitor weighs 17 lbs and this arm seems to not act like there's anything on it very solid. There is no adjustment to make the arm swivel action easier it's quite tight but I can live with it.

So difficult to put together
Honestly. This was the MOST confusing thing I have ever installed. I’m no stranger to mounting TVs. I have done it in the past and it has never been more than a 20/30 minute job at MOST. This took me about two hours to figure out. The instructions were very poor and confusing. The images on the instructions don’t look very much like the piece so it’s hard to understand. Turns out after two hours the reason it wasn’t working was because ONE piece was on backwards. I was miserable that night and I wouldn’t wish this assembly on my worst enemy. However it does do the job. It is sturdy. And my tv is still safely on the wall (fingers crossed)

Sturdy and versatile, a bit tricky to get the screws into the monitor
Rugged, sturdy while flexible. The only tricky part is that for the VESA monitor I was mounting, the mounting holes are recessed and using the (included) spacers was difficult - the (included) spacers are loose on the screws making it very difficult to get the four screws through the bracket with the spacers on while at the same time holding the monitor against the bracket. If I were to get another one of these (which I would), I'd strongly consider mounting it to the monitor first then mounting the whole thing to the wall.

Alternative uses
Used to mount a 36 inch x 48 inch mirror mounted on a plywood backer board. Set this up on wall opposite my TV so when i used my bowflex I can. watch what i am hearing while I get my workout done. Makes the workout less tedious. The mount allows me to position the mirror so no matter if sitting or standing can still see tv clearly.

Too hard to move at middle joint.
This mount seems very strong. However, I did not mount it because neither I or my son were strong enough to swivel the mount arm at the middle joint with using both hands and prying it apart. There is no way we could swing it with a TV on it. It seems like maybe they forgot to put lubricant on the joint or something doesn't fit quite right.
