Our high-prey drive seven-month old Great Dane girl loves these. They give us time to eat our evening meal while she noms on her 'uffalo horn'. They do not stain her 'Petforce bed' and although they smell a little gamey at first, they do not stain anything in the house and she will chew on them untill they are soft before she breaks the pieces off. They are her 3rd or 4th highest value treat after chicken, hotdogs, oven dried liver then, chicken filled bones. Gives us peace and makes her happy without filling her full of rubbish. Not high value enough for when we dine out in pubs with her (chicken filled bones for that) but in the house, they are very valuable for her. Would highly recommend, but if you have a smaller dog than a giant breed, they won't last as long as the small pieces near the edge of the horn will break off - fine for a giant who will soften them up but perhaps not for a medium/small dog. Hollings are a favourite in our house - their dried sprat tubs are used whenever we call our dogs inside as a recall reinforcement treat - smelly on the fingers but works so well.

My dog loves chewing on this horn and it helps to keep her teeth clean. Be warned though, it does smell when she chews on it for a while

Gave them to my dogs and within 5 minutes they were cracked and splintering, massive choking hazard. Wouldn’t buy again.I buy buffalo horns all the time and they usually last for months. Very disappointed.

Looks good but dogs are chewing through them in a few mins at the ends , I have certainly had better quality before and after buying these regally on subscriptions I have now cancelled as I don't feel they are of the toughest that are on the market and that's what I need .

I got this having done research into safe dog chews. My 14 month old dog loves it, it's keeping her happy and occupied. It does smell awful though

Not tried it myself but dog seems to like it, and it’s mostly stopped her eating my slippers.Doesn’t smell so don’t mind her eating it in the house :)

Review on specific item:I've had a really hard time tracking down a large replacement buffalo horn of for my dog, and i'm so happy that I found this Hollings one on Amazon ! This is the biggest horn I've ever seen, so it will last my boy a long time.Review on Buffalo Horns in general:Buffalo horns are one of my dogs absolute favourite chews. One horn will last my dog well over a year of regular chewing, and he is a very heavy chewer (60lbs lab/staffie mix). Beware that overtime, dogs will file the horn down and may break off pieces and swallow them. I just check the chew every few weeks and break off any worn down pieces, and I've had no issue.

My airedale chews everything. Even the toys/treats meant for heavy chewers. She chewed an elk antler in about 2 hours, with little bits all over the house. I bought a water buffalo horn last summer, and it's still around about 3 inches big now. She likes the cows hooves also, and they last for a bit, but they always smell like a barn. The water buffalo horns don't seem to smell, or at least to me they don't. And because they are basically compressed hair, I don't worry so much about her ingesting it.

This was a terrible dog chew. It immediately started shattering into tiny, very sharp, shards. I have bought many water buffalo horns before and they're usually great. This one was awful.
