Menstrual Cup Sterilizing Container is specially designed to fit menstrual cups of all shapes and sizes available. Lid must not be closed tightly, but kept on top to loosely cover the cup while in the microwave, allowing the steam from boiling water to escape easily. Material: Polypropylene (PP), BPA FREE (Bisphenol A), food-safe and microwave safe. This cup is designed to assist in cleaning your menstrual cups either in the microwave, or with a sterilizing solution (that is used for sterilizing baby bottles). Disinfecting in Microwave: Place the menstrual cup inside the container with stem at the bottom, fill it with water until the cup starts floating. Set the timer of the microwave for 4-5 minutes. The water must be boiling for disinfection to take place. Place the inverted lid on top (without closing it properly) to allow the steam produced to escape. Since the container will be very hot after use, it is advised to let it cool down for a few minutes before taking it out from the microwave.
