LONG REVIEW: It has to be said that Open-Tx and Jumper technology do not play well together. The discussion thread can be found for the curious, basically the Jumper radio is a 'copy' of Frysky or some other such and Open-Tx appears to be protecting their patronage from Frysky somehow. So Jumper-tx is Jumper's version of Open-Tx and you have to use the open-tx manual that doesn't support Jumper radios. Also, the companion software for open-tx won't work with the Jumper. If you didn't understand all that and aren't willing to expand your knowledge until you do, don't. THIS IS A WONDERFUL RADIO FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE TO "GET UNDER THE HOOD" and get their hands dirty with technology.*Update ~ Got this on Sunday afternoon. Writing this on Thursday morning. Seven of my toy remotes are redundant. This seller included an 18650 battery tray that was awesome. Still looking for a lipo near me. :D The T12 will bind to Hubsan X4 107 and Bayang protocol with AA batteries and very limited range.BUT you can learn the protocols and setup with the AA tray. You will need better batteries. Here is the Channel map for the Syma X5c, also works on Bayang toys x5c-1 clone.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F868FYC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AZEATCKF0BSET&psc=1 Pros - AFFORDABLE multi-protocol transmitter. Open source, programmers call this the 'big boys warranty'. Works with many popular quads and crossfire, accepts other modules. Large knowledge base for the inquisitive enthusiast. Unlocks the potential of your toy drones and is tunable for hobby grade fpv racers.Cons - Steep learning curve. Geeks will be happy, others may punch walls. Jumper T12 is not supported by Open-tx developers or manuals. Technical savvy is helpful. Gimbals are str8 trash, and I say that only having handled toy transmitters. Get the plus if you care. Support and development is better with deviation available in the T8 and QX7 and others. Battery not included. Sever lack of documentation from manufacturer and seller, virtually unsupported. They give you a link to Open-Tx. If you're not up for that pass on this. This is the big boy's warranty on the software, you can get the source code and fix anything you don't like. Not for everybody. Still have to give this five stars. I'm a noob and have four X5ish quads set up for rates/headless/video dvr/photo dvr on day three. The Hubsan X4 107C is easier to configure for me with the 2.2 open tx manual ( which doesn't support the Jumper series ) than it was with the stock controller. YMMV If you have one of these and don't bind the cx10wd you have no soul. It almost flies with 100% rates, much less drunken cow like than the stock radio or app. My little blade 8780 ( no camera ) is too much fun. The Bayang toys clone is a ripper and even the Symas pick up some wind fighting ability when you can mix rates and 'curves'. You can also add a throttle idle to Syma and others to keep the engines from stopping completely so you don't tumble right away when you chop and drop. Flips are possible but not my thing. FPV with the Syma Go app or Bayangs FYD-UFO app is a hoot if you have enough open space to account for lag, wifi repeater helps, but wouldn't try goggles yet with these. GREAT STARTER RADIO FOR GEEKS AND THE OTHERWISE TECHNICALLY INCLINED. If you don't get satisfactionfrom configuring stuff get a better supported radio with deviation.*this model does work for other RC vehicles like boats, planes and cars.

poor quality
first the good. The radio is up-gradable and configurable. The LCD display menus appear to be laid out good. The bad! poor quality. right out of the box, the product has problems. one of the menu switchs was broken. this kept me from doing any configuring of the system. The transmitter box size is very small in the hands and cumbersome to hold. Maybe good for a child, but not an adult! The joystick gimbals feel very cheap and flimsy. The antenna is a low gain 2dbi.the user manual and online help was extremely difficult to find! and even when I did find the right website, I still could not find instructions on how to set the device up!This cost $80usd. but IMO is not even worth it. I might pay $50 and then it would be in competition with Flysky. Lower your price. and upgrade your quality of components and size of the enclosure, and I would buy the device. but as it is now. I had to return it.

Very difficult software!
Dislike the software very much. Liked the T8SG transmitter software much more. Jumper still has serious quality control problems. Ordered the original multiprotocol Jumper tx from Bangood and it came in DOA. After much time online with them they sent me a return authorization. after 10 weeks and many emails it was determined that it had been stolen in the Chinese mail system. One down and lost! Ordered T8SG tx from Amazon. Had it working well and software was okay. After 2 or 3 months Iturned the unit on and would not work. Cannot find a new mainboard to repair! 2 down! Ordered the T12 from Amazon with the OpenTX software. VERY DIFFICULT SOFTWARE! Unit still working but one gimbel failed so I was able to replace it with the hall unit which I like very much. I have had no trouble using different protocol Receivers but still can't master the software. Still works when I turn it on though! The FlySky IA6 and IA6X are much better for most uses you just have to stay with FlySky receivers.

They need better videos or a better manual to use this
Ended up returning it I'm sure it's a great unit but we could not get it to connect with a flight simulator software and setting up the models we had to search for YouTube videos where the instructions were poor on the website when you could find them and it only came with a quick start guide. But Gray Construction quality came with battery trays two different types which the others don't. I think if they had more instructions this would be a great unit.

A winner!
This little radio controller works with a lot of different RC products and is very handy, it's constructed fairly well but feels light in the hands.! I would recommend it for anyone wanting the convenience of flying many different RC products but not wanting to tote around all of those controllers.

nice
I am used to a bigger transmitter but this is easy to use. I wish openTX would make it work with radiolink protocol.

Radio
Don't buy this, The T16 is a better radio
