Anni Albers

I bought this for my wife (in my opinion and excellent fiber artist) and she absolutely loves the book and highly recommends the work. As a non artist I thought the book is an excellent reference we both highly recommend the book.

As someone interested in weaving, I've heard of Anni Albers and seen a few of her works. This fairly compressive review is very impressive and gives light to the excellence of this fantastic fiber artist. My only complaint is the cheap binding of the book-what a piece of crap.

Everything you might want in a book. Beautiful images abound and the entire production is stellar. Loved enough to buy another as a gift.

A wonderful exploration of a somewhat overlooked artist and teacher in the Bauhaus school. The illustrations alone are worth the price.

I knew this was a perfect gift for my wife, who is a professional weaver. She loved it. Even the binding was special.

First, one star off for the cheap, schlocky binding. For shame, Tate and Yale. Albers deserves so much better. She at least deserved a book with a woven cloth cover.Yet the book is full of many colorful, well-photographed examples of Albers work and excellent essays about it and her role in modern art and design. If glancing at the photos doesn’t immediately convince you that Albers was an important, pioneering modernist, the essays should do the trick. This book would interest weavers and fiber artists, those interested in modernism or the history of modern art and design, textile history, the Bauhaus, Black Mountain College, and pioneering women in the arts.

Beautiful book , purchased as a gift for an accomplished weaver .
