You can't go wrong with a de Mello book. He approaches life from all wisdom - not one particular religion - and all love.

In my opinion, De Mello's best books are not always the ones he's written. The best ones that are transcriptions of his retreat talks. Contact with God fits the latter category. I came away with a deeper understanding of petitionary prayer because of his insights; especially the frequent use of the "Jesus Prayer." In effect, "sanctifying the subconscious." He describes why this is not self-hypnosis.A book I will always return to for fresh ideas on how to pray.

Anthony de Mello is absolutely one of the most "down to earth" yet deeply Spritual writer that I have ever had the pleasure and blessing to be referred to by a friend.I believe I have read almost all he has ever written over the past several years and everytime I re read his books, I become more enighted about the simplicity and beauty of a very loving and understanding God.

Excellent book on how to make prayer part of my existence. I would recommend this book to anyone that struggles with reaching our Father.

All books by or about Anthony De Mello are life changers. His words are almost too simple to comprehend, pay attention, don't complicate his message, wake up to a more joyful life, which should be a natural state.

Anthony De Mello is a great spiritual writer. He makes you think outside the box. Gives you new perspectives to notions or stories you have heard all your life.

The first book that taught me how to pray. Practical, down to earth. De Mello better than most defines clearly what prayer really is.
