Simple but Effective
The SmartyKat Scratch Up Corrugated Hanging Cat Scratcher is a great, no-fuss solution for cats who love to scratch. My cat took to it immediately, especially with the added catnip infusion. The single wide design gives enough surface area for scratching without taking up much space, and I like that it can hang or be laid flat. It's a basic scratcher, but it does the job well and keeps my furniture safe. Plus, it's affordable and easy to replace when it wears out!

Perfect product for cost
I've always gone for these throughout my cat's years. He loves them and goes to town when I put fresh ones out. It's thick and sturdy cardboard that you won't have to fear cat claws going through itFor more scared or curious cats I love to sprinkle catnip on the board and watch them realize they can scratch it.Easy to hang on a doorknob for vertical scratchers or you can just lay it flat on the ground.Cheap and expendable and easy to toss out when it's too beat up and I can just buy another one.

You'd better have tall cats
My five cats actually love this scratcher, but it's not a door hanger or at least it's not a door hanger at my house. Our cats would have to be much taller to use this as a door hanger. This thing is really short when it hangs on the door and my cats couldn't reach it without stretching uncomfortably, so we just threw it on the floor and the cats used it anyway. They like it on the floor just fine. The bonus to it being on the floor is that they will also perch on it, roll around on it, pick it up and drag it around, and it really just becomes sort of an all-purpose toy. It's lasted a long time and being able to rip the cardboard cover off the other side means that you can just flip it over and you have two sides for them to scratch. It also holds catnip better when it's flat on the floor. The con of it being on the floor is that I've tripped over it several times because it doesn't stay put. I also trip over the cat several times a day so it doesn't really matter.Bottom line, the cats love it and it's on the floor. I would definitely buy it again and just throw it on the floor rather than ever trying it on the door.

Door Hanger Scratchers
I like these and think they are very clever, but my kitty is not interested just yet. Hopefully, he will discover how fun they will be and love and use them.

Great idea but wore out quickly & messy,
Our cats loved these especially when laid on the floor rather than hanging on a door knob, They scratched enthusiastically then lay down on the scratchers as if they were ventilated beds I liked that I could put these near furniture to keep the furniture and upholstery from being torn up. Cats dearly love to scratch! What I didn't like was how quickly our two young cats were able to start ripping the compressed cardboard into shreds of paper scattered all over and thus tracked throughout the house. So out they have gone, to be replaced with sisal covered scratching poles and bars. I know the cats miss them, but my husband and I have no mess when the cats scratch on sisal.

The cat gives it 5 stars
Our cat LOVES this thing. We sprinkle silver vine on it and he has a fantastic time scratching, rolling, and then sleeping on it.Pros:- it was very cheap (I believe we paid $4.19 for it) and since the cat's just going to destroy it and it'll eventually need replaced that's an important consideration.- it holds catnip/silver vine very well- the cat loves it- doesn't take up too much space- you can remove the cardboard back panel and let them scratch the bottom side tooCons:- it makes a mess with all the ripped up bits of cardboard. I don't really mind since you can just vacuum it up and any scratcher has some level of mess. If you put catnip or silver vine on it they work their way through the holes and then when you remove the cardboard on the back side lots of silver vine comes falling out.- it's FAR too short to hang from a doorknob unless you have a very tall cat. It's great for floor use though.- it's a little small, my cat manages to make himself fit and he's quite happy with it but if you have a very large cat this might be a little undersized for them. It's not perfect but for the price given how happy my cat is with it I feel it was a great purchase.

Dangerous to Cats
My cat was obsessed with this. However it creates tons of shreds. Sweep them up, more appear, sweep them up, more appear, etc. couldn’t keep up. It’s right in our high traffic zone too so we watch my cats with them. Turns out, must’ve been while we were out or sleeping he was eating them. $900 in vet bills later, find out he had a blockage, a clump of the shreds. They clumped up in his intestines before they broke down. With the help of the vet and TLC our cat passed them. Very dangerous. Be aware, clean up the shreds and hide the item when you’re not around or your cat could end up with a blockage that could require surgery or result in a worse fate.
