You can order free refills of SEVEN more (additional) spices than listed!
I ordered this for my niece for her wedding, and loved it. I'm giving it five stars. BUT - I'm about to also give a bunch of other information that might matter to you. You might think it's a 3 star.BTW - why the five star review when I about to give a Toooon of perspective? Pricing - pretty great. Refills - super easy. Look - looks great, doesn't take up much space. I got this on a SUPER deal - and there is no way I'd get anywhere close to this with any of the other options. So, yes. Five stars. Just know what you're looking at and what the catches are! And with that:Here's a few things to know:1. What spicese are included? Here's the list: basil, crushed bay leaves (worthless since most recipes don't use crushed bay leaves - I purchased some at a store to replace what was in there), celery salt, chives, cilantro, coriander, crushed mint, dill weed, fennel seed, herbes de Provence, Italian seasoning, majoram, oregano, parsley, pizza seasoning, rosemary, savory seasoning, sea salt (chunky - not small), seasoned salt, thyme.2. I pre-registered her for the free seasonings and discovered while I was in their system that can ALSO order even MORE spices!: chopped onion, cinnamon sticks (not powder), crushed red pepper, garlic salt, paprika, sage, and whole black peppercorn. (True as of 7-20-24)Note: you do need to register for the free seasonings within 90 days of purchase. I didn't see any restrictions on how frequently you could order them. They probably don't think many people will order a lot of them.3. Things I'd be mindful of: you really do need something to crush some of these, like the chunky sea salt and whole black peppercorn. I picked up a cheap sea salt from (another store) that is refillable and can be used to crush the black peppercorn and salt.4. three seasonings really can't be used "as is" or require additional work:-most recipes suggest whole bay leaves, and I'm guessing it's not easy to convert the recipes. They aren't poisonous like the old wives tale. But, they can damage your esophagus if consumed as a whole leaf because they are sharp. The chef's I've read about who use smaller sized bay leaves prefer to pulverize them to powder rather than use crushed. BUT, they say it's REALLY hard to crush bay leaves. Bay leaves have a very powerful taste that can overpower a recipe. All in all, there's a reason most recipes suggest a whole bay leaf and then have you take it out.- the salt, and the peppercorn. I suppose you could use chunky salt and whole peppercorns in a recipe. Most people will want them crushed though. It may be good to order a salt and pepper crusher set or pick it up locally (pretty cheap at most grocery stores) and then just use the spices to refill those. You could then use those jars for something else.5. Registering for the free spices was easy - you do need the purchase date. I tested out what the cost would be for shipping, and it's about $1 per spice to replace, which is actually a pretty decent deal. Plus, I liked that you can order even more than came with the original set.6. I purchased - on my own - a few more herbs that seem pretty standard these days, but of course it depends on the person. The herbs I added: cinnamon, curry powder, chili powder, and cumin.7. If you decide you want to use the jars for a different seasoning, I don't see a good way to remove the label.8. Sea salt - one thing that comes up that people don't always know is why people choose table salt that is iodized. It's good for preventing iodine deficiency, which is important for thyroid health. I think there was a note on the sea salt when you ordered it that it does NOT contain Iodine. So, if that matters to you, just be aware of it.Hope this helps!

Organization
Love this tower and the neatly displayed names of spices. My only complaint would be there isn’t things like onion powder and garlic powder.
