I really like this book. I have been doing watercolor for almost 5 years and still, at times, struggle with it but these small exercises have taught me not to be so heavy handed and aggressive with my paint. These exercises are wonderful for anyone.

Love this book. Simple straightforward directions.

Easy to follow instructions. Although I wish that they would show which kind of brush to use. I had to return mine as I am a beginner painter and I need to know which brushes to use.

OUTSTANDING BOOK! Only one constructive criticism, where to get all the watercolors used in the examples. It would have been nice to know.

A very nice book, love the color drawings and pictures, she doesn't show you how to draw, but give you some guidance. She also goes over the right tools and materials you will need along with color and Techniques. I use Tracing paper to develop some muscle memory, and it works just fine when I apply it to my watercolor paper.

Pros;- Great variety of content- Beautiful artwork done by artistNitpicks:- Not all tutorials are really 4 steps.- The book could be worded better when it comes to explaining techniques.Deal breaker: The color accuracy is extremely poor. In several tutorials you're instructed to use certain colors that don't necessarily match the illustration provided. The one the specifically stands out in my mind has you using Rose Madder (which is very pink) but the book is illustrated showing a variegation of pink and orange tones without any explanation to how the orange tones were achieved. I found this to be incredibly discouraging because the singular tones being produced by the instructions could not replicate what the artist did. it's a little misleading and discouraging.
