Perfect replacement, price is right
It's oh-dark-thirty on a deserted highway about 30 miles from town. Suddenly, a tire explodes on my RV. I pull to the side, and there's nothing left of the tire. Unfortunately, it's also the tire in front of my sewer dump valve assembly. There's nothing left but the stubs of broken pipe- Don't even imagine what sort of fluids are leaking.Fast forward to the next morning. Having gotten home, I am now wondering just how much this mess is going to cost me. The RV dealership quoted me a price to replace the dump valve assembly that was just short of ridiculous. What to do?Amazon to the rescue! This Valterra assembly is the exact duplicate of my old assembly that now lies somewhere on a deserted highway in a puddle of foul juices and shredded rubber. Installation was a snap. I had to buy some black ABS pipe pieces from the hardware store to patch what was missing. Glued it up and presto, good as new. Total price was less than 1/4 what the RV dealership quoted. You can't even buy the valves alone for the price of this complete unit. One caveat- the handles for the valves are a straight "T"- shape, not the complex curly-ended ones shown in the photo.**Edited to add:My valve assembly had the greywater valve handle colored grey, and the blackwater handle colored black. Nice touch.****Edited again to add:They changed the picture to match what the assembly looks like now, with the straight "T"-handles.You need to use ABS pipe and ABS cement to glue the pipes.Seriously, it took me maybe a half hour total to fix my valve including measuring and cutting new 1-1/2" pipe and elbows where they were broken off by the blown tire. The valves are mounted with collars so you can turn them to whatever orientation you need. In my case, I was worried about having the grey line tied in with enough fall to drain properly and took great care to get it lined up when test fitting and then glueing. But then I found that I could just turn the valve body and get it like I needed, I really overthought it.I'd rate this SIX stars if they had it possible. It really saved me a ton of money and my wife thought I was the master RV repair guy.

Finally fixed my leaking camper drains
We bought a used camper. During recent repairs, we noticed the gray water pipe was leaking pretty bad. After closer inspection, the pipe had cracked right at the valve. During a recent trip i noticed the gray water was leaking past the gate valve and getting into the main connection area. Since the broken pipe was glued into the valve assembly and we were leaking past the valve i order this for a replacement. Wish i would have done it sooner. Now i can take off the main connection at the dump station without making a mess. Just keeping it PG, we only use our bathroom for #1!

I'm using the front section of this part only. ...
I'm using the front section of this part only. I'm modifying my RV trailer that has to separate, black & grey water valves to create a one dump valve at the black water outlet. To do this I had to cut off the 1-1/2" grey water valve, attach a full sweep 90 degree elbow and run a 1-1/2" ABS pipe to the front 1-1/2" section of this valve that I mounted onto my existing 3" valve. It is just four bolts and a seal. Now I have a convenient black water 1st followed by grey water rinse at one hose outlet. No more switching the hose from the black to grey valves.

Exact OEM replacement
I damaged the valve on my RV. (See photo) In my search for the replacement, I discovered there are four possible configurations. Be sure you order the right one. The differences are the size of the connections to the drain lines. The connections go by terms hub and spigot. In plumbing lingo, they are actually female and male. Once I figured that out, ordering the correct valve was easy. Installation was straightforward and the fit is perfect.

Direct replacement of factory valves
Husband was able to replace the old worn out valves easily with this assembly. Our grey pipe got a leak in it between the elbow and the valve. The black drain side was fine so he unbolted things at the black side and cut & replaced the broken elbow piece and connected it to the new valve assembly. New system bolted l right up to the original part that was on the black. Works great!
