Unfortunately the stone came with a little crack but is still somewhat useable. Tried it on one of my cheaper kitchen knives and it have helped it make it sharper.

With the guide it’s super easy to user after a few knives to get used to the angle and won’t need it any more. Our knives are so much better now and im at less risk of cutting myself with a blunt one, excellent little stone.

I bought this as a cheap gamble. I have an old high quality whetstone that belonged to my grandad but unfortunately I dropped it and it broke. So I figured for the price this was worth a look I have used expensive 6k and 10k stones, they will get you a mirror finished edge. This does not. I have spent hundreds of hours sharpening and with good stones can get a rough blade to shave in a few minutes. I can get a shaving edge with this stone but it's nothing special and there doesn't seem to be any real difference in grade between the two sides. It's worth the money as a cheap sharpening stone, but don't expect a true 1k/6k stone that will give mirror bright razor edges.

Stone is of good quality. I’ve used this about three times and it made my knives sharper so I can recommend this product.
