Excellent Receiver and Value - Just Doesn't Play Well with Universal Remotes
This is a great receiver. Quality Denon all the way and sounds great, including Dolby Atmos and bluetooth capabilities. Replaced an older Yamaha that lasted a long time but was not 4K-ready.NOTE: Denon receivers don't play well with universal remotes. My old Yamaha worked well with my universal remote allowing me to cycle through the receiver inputs but the Denon does not. If you don't want to sling around multiple remotes to change the receiver input (Cable, FireStick, Xbox, etc.) you either have to buy a universal remote that allows for activities to be set or be prepared to keep your Denon AVR remote nearby.

Great receiver for the price
I've had a few receivers in the last 30+ years. I've had Onkyo, Sony, Marantz and more. I think this ranks pretty high. I needed a low profile 7.2 receiver, so my options were very limited. I got this on sale for $350 and for that price, it's an absolute steal. I'm not super picky with sound. As long as it's distortion free and I can get the volume I want, I'm happy.I'm not thrilled about the menu system. To be fair, most brands have horrible menus. This menu is OK. The quick menu to adjust the center channel doesn't always show up. There must be some criteria for it to show, but I don't know what that is.Some standouts, theres an option to set a particular volume every time the receiver turns on. There's a quick menu to get to some settings without going through the full menu system. There's bluetooth, so that's convenient. It's low profile, which I mentioned before, so I can fit it in the shelf of my entertainment set. There's other features which I don't use so I can't comment on those.Overall, a great receiver that's not big, sounds good, has some bells and whistles and is great price even without the sale price. I highly recommend it.

Very easy setup, great sound
I bought this to replace an older onkyo - very pleased with the features- one cool thing is a mic that is provided so that the unit can calibrate the speakers for optimal performance automatically. The sound is a big improvement and the remote does its job without confusion. You can also download an app which is nice if you are in another room and want to make an adjustment.

Excellent value for the money but took off one of the stars
I am I am quite happy with this receiver And it has the latest specifications for video. I use it with Spotify and it delivers excellent sound quality. There are only 2 reasons That I did not give a 5 star rating. The default input levels are quite low and I had to go into the menu and manually increase the gain to maximum for all of the inputs. If you don't do that you really have to crank up the power to get a decent amount of sound But once I did that I am satisfied. It is loud enough for my use but If you if you have a large room you might want a more powerful unit. The other reason was I was disappointed by the broadcast am/fm radio sensitivity. I have cheap pocket radios that pick up stations better. On the positive side, I was impressed And how well it rejected any type of noise from nearby electronics. I have never seen A device that is as good as this Injecting noise. The built in ability to use internet radio stations Is excellent using the Built in Tunein app Which has hundreds of commercial radio stations Across the country. By far I use this Much more than antenna. As far as I can tell the antenna does not support FM sub channels But the Tunein app has most of them. One thing about Tunein, I have the paid subscription. That also includes commercial free channels However if you want to access those channels that are commercial free You will have to use Airplay on your phone. If you just use the built in Tunein app It plays the regular commercials. This is not a fault of the receiver I checked the Tunein website they just only support Certain platforms For the ad free Subscription. Overall this provides an excellent Commercial radio experience If you're into that sort of thing.I definitely recommend this Unit just know that you're going to have to tweak the settings To get the volume up.Most people don't use radio anymore so that's a non issue For many users. The manual is good but found just asking Microsoft copilot Answered my questions.

High Quality equipment
I have been a fan of Denon for years. I like the quality and sound of their receivers, and I believe them to be a great value. Even my wife (who is NOT an audiophile) has mentioned how much she enjoys soundtracks on movies when we watch them. I have also had great luck with not having to return anything. Face it, with complicated electronics, even the best company will have a problem once and a while. But I feel Denon quality is up there with the best
