Held kneecap in place wonderfully
I got this brace because I previously subluxed my patella and now it has a tendency to sublux or dislocate quite easily when I exercise. I run regularly, do obstacle course racing, and do quite a bit of high impact exercise so being out of commission for a knee reinjury is a major impact on my lifestyle. I've tried several knee braces both inexpensive and quite pricey. This fairly inexpensive brace (comparatively) is my favorite. I just wore it for a Spartan Super (through mud, water, rough terrain, and many difficult obstacles) and it held my kneecap in place wonderfully. After getting wet, it didn't shift or get overly waterlogged. It was very easy to make small tightning or loosening adjustments during the race. As a bounus, because it's quite small, it was very easy to clean so it's ready for more exercise!

Not worth your money.
I suffer from Patellofemoral Pain & Arthritis in both my knees. This brace did not work at all. It fit but when I would stand up and walk the brace would start to slide down. I tried to tighten it but the same thing kept happening. I wasted my money buying this item.

Slides Down, No Support
I tried it the day I got it, and the day after. It refused to stay up, whether it was on bare skin or clothing. I have a knee problem which I wanted this to assist with while I exercised and walked, but it wouldn't even stay up just walking around inside my home. In addition, the strange half moon piece plus wrap did not feel supportive at all, I have an old neoprene sleeve that offers far more support. It offered some pressure without support, I could tell my knee was still unsupported and ready to slip as I moved. The little hard shape also was uncomfortable where it hit the knee, no matter how I loosened/tightened the straps or tried to position it. I returned it immediately. The search for something worthwhile goes on.

Great for Subluxation of the Patella
I bought this brace after I experienced a subluxation of my patella due to patellar tracking disorder, or runner's knee. You can feel the stability it provides instantly! The design could use a bit of work, as the brace is not long enough. An inch on the top and bottom would give more space for the velcro and be a lot easier to wear. I'd recommend wearing this over pants if possible. Otherwise, you will get chaffed if you wear it too long. The brace has worn out from use and seems to have shrunk, despite the fact that I have not washed it. For subluxations, this really is your only option (for a small brace) so I'd say give it a try but in the long term, the brace will deteriorate!

Best one over all braces I've tried for patella maltracking
I've tried a lot of knee braces and this is the best fit I've found so far for patella maltracking for my knee. Others either dont do much for patella maltracking, or are way to restrictive for daily use. This one, at least for me, is best for both protecting the knee and being ok comfortable for extended all day wear. The buttress I'd say is medium protection in keeping the patella in place while not too restrictive that its hard to walk in or wear all day. But after wearing it all day, the skin in the back of the knee does get a little sore from the neoprene sleeve edge digging into the skin. I also had a problem with the front bottom edge of the sleeve constantly rubbing against my skin below the knee causing chaffing so I placed a small piece of KT tape on my skin below the knee and that fixed the issue.
