Q: Why does my mozart watercolor paint have horrible chemical smell to the tin, paint? washed the tin, smell stayed. what did china use? thanks

Having the same issue. Used them for 2 hours, very strong chemical smell that didn't fade, felt nauseous by the end, still feeling a bit ick an hour and a half later. I've never had an experience like this before with watercolors. I'm very concerned.

Hi, Yes, these can be used as regular paints. By dipping your brush in water, wetting the pan first and then brushing backwards and forwards over the pan to pick up the paint. We'd advise using them on watercolor paper. No. The paints are glued into the plastic. This was my first watercolor set so I just went with the order in which they were arranged.
