Fits a company provided chair

Update:A few months back I noted that the side edges of the armrest pads have split, but the top surface is still great so you don't really notice it when using them. Seems to be pretty good for 2 years of daily usage.Side note: This office chair is a SitOnIt Focus High Back Task chair based on the tag under the seat, with the fancy options to have a movable seating surface.-- Original below --So if you happen to have one of those office chairs with armrests that have broken or failed in some manner, or want some flexibility in having (or not) arm rests or to be able to push the chair in all the way when the armrests get in the way of the desk at the end of the day, then these are the ones to get. That split plastic was getting quite annoying and the bandaid i had tried of gluing them together and then later on using arm rest pads that velcro on were also not viable in the long term, so I went searching for a solution.First I was just looking at getting replacement pads to get rid of the cracked one, but those run like $20/$30 and while it looks like the 4" spaced ones would work, it wouldn't address the other faults in the armrests, so i looked at what could replace the whole arms entirely. For the chair I have you have to remove the horizontal sliders for the armrests then you just screw these ones in to the original location using the original screws and plastic washers. Sure this means you lose being able to spread the arms out a bit but having armrests that aren't cracked or failing for other reasons (like freely spinning because the little metal plug falls out from time to time making you take the armrest apart to fix, or one of the welds being broken causing the arm to move more than it should).I have no affiliation to this item / seller, but so far (about a month in) they've been quite nice, they have a nice cushion to them vs that hard plastic that comes with 10+ years of wear.

Short attachment area, but work as advertised.

Did not work for quite a few of the chairs I tried to put them on, but do exactly what you want them to once they are attached. Very nice to have arms that bend down like that.

cheap chinese garbage

Designed with deep recessed plastic holes, so have fun trying to get your 3/8 trying to fit in this trash. Arm rests will need additional pads. Terrible value for anyone beyond a musician needing arms that fold back.

Best Amazon Find - I highly recommend after owning for almost a year

I have owned this for at least a year now and I love it! It works exactly as described and was super easy to install. I own a Flexispot chair and had no difficulty installing it. It is extremely adjustable and comfortable and I love how I can put them down if I don't wish to utilize them - making it very easy to push my chair under my non-adjusting desk. I only wish they'd make this in another color as I just purchased a white chair and would love to purchase another set of these! Do not hesitate to give these a try.

Didn't fit

Hard to tell by the short description if these would fit my chair, they did not so had to return. If I could have found someone to give these to I would have kept them as it cost me half the arms charge to ship them back to the seller. Ridiculous!

Perfect fit. Work great. Best buy.

I had taken the arms off of my chair sooner years ago. One went missing in the meantime. Ordered these and they are better than the original. Like that I can adjust height of the arms or swing them out of the way if want to.

Solid construction, perfect Fit, but uncomfortable arm pads

These were pretty much a perfect fit for my "Staples Acadia Ergonomic Mesh Task Mid-Back" office chair that I bought in roughly 2006. These are as good or better than the OEM armrests that were originally on the chair (one side of the original armrests broke). The only thing I did not like about these new armrests was that the pads were hard as a rock. So I just took the pads off the old armrests and installed them on the new ones. Fortunately, the pads on this armrest are very common and replaceable.

Saved my chair

With Covid I bought a rolling stool with a back, to use as both an office chair and a drum throne. I didn't want arms because of using it when I play drums. But I found that sitting for a long time, working a mouse, without arm support was tiring. So I bought these even though they weren't designed for the stool, figuring, as Tim Gunn says, I could "make it work". I was able to drill holes and mount the arms - measure carefully to get them centered. But then they blocked the adjustment rod that makes the seat go up and down. So I used a dremel tool to cut off some of the non-essential plastic on the rod adjustment housing. No go. I then used a hacksaw to cut off the knob on the end of the rod itself. That gave enough clearance. I found a little rubber cap in my toolbox and glued it on the rod. Now I have the best of both worlds in only one chair, which is great when you live in a NYC apartment.
