CompeedCold Sore Discreet Healing Patch, 15 Count (Pack of 1)

I am absolutely ordering these again! I started using them as soon as I felt the tingling and they work really well. It took me a few attempts to get the hang of it but once you figure out how to apply them it’s really easy. The tingling started on Tuesday morning so I applied the patch (first picture is with the patch on) and the second picture was taken today (two days after). It’s already healing and the sore is really small.They are discreet but they do start peeling off after a few hours and it gets a bit annoying. Still a lot better than the alternative! So happy to have finally found something that works!

I know these don't work for everyone (my sister doesn't get on with them) although I couldn't be without them now! I thought I'd give these a go after being recommended them by a lady who worked in Tescos. Although they were a little fiddly for the first few applications you soon get used to them and I now find them easy to apply. You peel half of the sticky backing off, stick the peeled half of the sticker on to the cold sore and then peel the rest of the sticky backing off. I suffer with cold sores on my lips mainly. You simply stick one of these patches over the cold sore and away you go. I find that once the sticker is on the cold sore visibility is highly reduced and it doesn't scab. Although my first attempt didn't look great and I wasted a couple of patches once I'd got the hang of applying the patch the patch is almost invisible and nobody has ever commented on noticing it. I certainly feel comfortable with how it looks. They are long lasting and only need to be changed when they start to peel. Mine have lasted longer than a day although as they're on my lips I prefer to change them more regularly as it feels cleaner after eating/drinking. Dependant on the exact cold sore location may mean the patch loses its stickiness a bit quicker, for example if part of the patch goes under my top lip it peels faster and generally needs changing every 3 - 4 hours and after meals.I'm not sure if these make my cold sores heal faster, although what I do know is that they make the healing process almost invisible and a lot more comfortable. I love that I don't have big scabs any more and no longer feel complete dread when I get that tingle. I don't suffer cold sores as frequently now althogh it's hard to say whether it's due to the patches or another reason.I will definitely continue to buy these and keep some on standby.

Amazing product! Suffered with cold sores since I was a kid and always used creams that never made any difference. Used these for a day changing after 12 hours, although it would have stayed on longer and the blistering was gone and pretty much healed already! I didn’t get the usual throbbing pain I would get using creams.I did get the patch onto the blister the day after it started so maybe that’s why it worked so quick.No one even noticed it was on until I mentioned to a friend how good it was and have recommended to her too! Definitely buy again and excellent value for money

Ive suffered with coldsores for as long as I can remember and have tried both patches and creams.Lets me just start by saying, these do what they say. They provide a more healthy environment for the sore to heal. They are discreet enough to give you some confidence to want to show your face but they arent invisible. These have been very good for me, as I have a newborn baby and these patches act as an extra safety measure on top of hand washing.Despite other reviewers saying that they are hard to apply or that they don't stick, I didn't find this to be true. They were easy to apply and usually stayed in place until I peeled them off to change them basically after 10-12 hours.However...As this is a patch, it hurts to take off and your lip will feel very strange and uncomfortable when you do peel it off - this might just be my experience however as they were not coming off on their own. If they have already started to peel then I imagine you may not feel as much pain.On top of that, I found that the patches did very little to actually ease the symptoms. Still alot of itching and burning.This is a good product but it more or less took the same amount of time to heal the sore as it would have if I had used a cream. The biggest advantages are having the sore covered to reduce spreading and that it makes it looks a lot less unsightly.

if you can catch the sore before it blisters..... this is wonderful. discreet, sheer and stays on rather well (although this is dependant on where the cold sore actually is).if however it has blistered, these plasters are big enough and you need to move to a cream to clear it up and help the healing process. once it heals up and stops weeping.... you can go back to the compeed to help protect the area and further prevent the spread.in the pack there should be a few that are larger in size, as if you need to double them close together to cover a large area, they dont stick well.Also the application is terrible.... often go through at least 1-2 before being sucessfull, which is such a waste. i am only new to using these but from all accounts it looks like the packaging is new and people dont like it at all. has to be a better way to store/provide these. if you touch the other side just one bit, it sticks on the inside and is completely useless. it goes straight in the rubbish bin.i do like the product though for daily use and they stay in place nicely throughout the day.

These work very well. Makes it easier to eat and touch your face without touching the blister. It sticks well but not so well on skin.
