Plate does not slip.
My husband had a stroke and has left side deficits. The bottom of the plate has a rubber type ring which prevents the plate from shifting (on solid surfaces like a kitchen counter or table top) and one side of the plate has a scooped raised edge to allow him to get food onto a spoon or fork easily. No more chasing the peas, rice, eggs, etc!!! He says, “It works good!” Cleans well in the dishwasher. I put them in the bottom with the other plates and have had no issue with melting. Going to order a couple more. Well worth it for his independence.

useful plates
I have a special needs son that I bought these plates for. I was tired of him shoving his food off the side of his plate when he would eat. these plates work very well for him. They are on the small size. but I'm ok with that as my son has a tendency to over eat. I would highly recommend these plates to any special needs family who has a child that like to shovel food, or shoves the food off the side of his plate when they eat.One last thing, they don't slide on the table either.

Great item
They are very efficient and very useful for my dad when he tries to eat. I am very satisfied with them and highly recommend them. He has Parkinson's and it still allows him to put food on his utensils.

Great item for after shoulder surgery.
After shoulder surgery I could only use one hand to eat. These plates are great as they adhere to the table, do not slide around, and the cupped edge keeps your food on the plate, and not on the table.

Great idea for those with Parkinson’s
Plates come as a set of two round plates. The plates have a raised rim on one side and The design is very helpful to keep food from slipping off. I Always turn the higher side toward the person eating. I really appreciate these plates, however, I gave them only 3 stars because they are very small. Good for a side salad perhaps but not for a full dinner. Also I try never to cut meat in the plates as they are plastic but I did see some scratches already. Other than that they are well designed.

Surprisingly good and not too small
I bought this one for a few reasons.1) Similar scoop plates I looked at didn't have a curved "scooped" edge like this one does. Others had taller flat edges instead. With a taller flat edge, food might get pushed up, up, and over the side of a flat edge. I think the curved edge is an important part of getting the food onto a spoon or fork.2) The size of this is good for us. It's not a huge plate, but it's big enough. I'm happy with the size. Measure some of your regular plates and see what you think. I would not call this tiny, like some other plates I read about.3) I like that there's a flat outer rim to hold the plate by, so other people's fingers do not go inside the plate while carrying and gripping the plate.I wasn't sure I'd like the blue color, and I originally wanted white, but you know what? If you're buying this for someone who's living at a facility, the blue will help the kitchen find it better and faster! So that ended up being a plus! :)The 2 pack is also helpful in case one is in the dishwasher.Overall I like these. They're working well.

Keeps food on my plate, not in my lap.
This plate with the concave side edge allows me to strap a fork or spoon to my for arm and eat on my own while my arm and hand heals in a cast. It holds up very well in microwave and doesn’t slide off the table while eating despite pushing some foods against the curved lip.I recently lost both my hands and feet due to septic shock and adaptive items, like this plate has given me back a bit of independence to feed myself when I use a cuff that holds a utensil.I’d recommend this plate for anyone with mobility challenges or looking for daily living adaptive items.
