Wasn't convinced this would work as the knocking was pretty bad but it worked immediately. Fitted it just beyond my water meter. Noted customer comments about the pressure so checked mine before fitting with a tyre pressure checker. It sat at 2.5 bar and that looked to be about right according to other comments. Wasn't sure whether main connection should have had a rubber washer but not supplied so used PTFE tape. 15mm tee was standard compression connection so straightforward. Well worth it.

Well made and looks robust. At first it made no difference, but after lowering the pressure to equal my water pressure, (a little over 2 bar) it works perfectly. The factory set 3.5 bar was to high for my system. You can easily check and set the pressure with a car foot pump. My pipes are now silent, even with a modern washing machine on mains pressure.

... it turned out to be a faulty shower valve. Even so I was surprised this had no evect at all.Easy to fit and looks very well made

Excellent. Did exactly what I hoped it would in eliminating water hammer caused by a super abrupt filling solenoid in my LG washing machine. I didn’t have to adjust the pressure in the chamber of this item at all.

had the pipe hammer issue on the main 15mm supply pipe after the stop cock, when any water supply called for.although, it reccommends to install near to the source of the problem i installed this on the end of the main supply pipe before the t split.after putting the supply back on adjusted the stop cock for a suitable pressure and now cured the problem no more banging from any source. good job

This product worked well for a month, after which the pressure fell.I pumped it up again but the pressure dropped.I originally gave this item 4 stars but now it gets 1 star because it is wholly impractical.Either the design is incorrect or it is faulty.However, I bought two and have the same problem with both.I now have to return them and rejoin the pipes, which I am not too happy about.I'll try a different make first.

No more difficult to fit than the Sioux Chief type, which were great initially but I had two fail quite quickly. This one is still going strong 4 months on so far, and is easily recharged with a bike pump (haven't needed to yet). I'll buy or recommend these in future if I ever need such a thing again.
