SimpliSafeSmart Alarm Wireless Indoor Security Camera

Very impressed with this camera (we also own ring and Arlo cameras) as it immediately starts recording when the door is opened / window opened when the alarm is set to away (does not wait until the alarm sounds, so in case of an actual burglary there is no delay in the recording). It has an auto privacy cover that is activated when the alarm is in the "off" mode and when you arm Simplisafe in the "home" mode. Excellent image quality in day and night. I noticed that there is a one star review regarding night vision but the key is to not place it right next to a light colored wall. The infrared light source can bounce off nearby walls/ceiling. Once I moved it about a foot away at a slight angle the picture quality was excellent when activating the camera in our completely dark kitchen. We set this up for my mom's Simplisafe system and now, if she hears a noise, she can activate the camera from her Simplisafe app to look in the kitchen/back door entry area.

We have these, along with the smoke detectors, in our summer house. They are invaluable if an alarm goes off, because you can pull them up and see just what is going on

Love the wireless camera. Works real smooth with my Simplisafe app. Sharp hd picture with my gigabit speed. Setup was easy, only thing I didn’t like was charging up the camera.

Be sure sign up for monitor service it’s great set my alarm off by accident they call me using the cameras ask if there was a problem. Great service!

I purchased a security system and very expensive doorbell with Simplisafe specifically because of a security incident. The one and only time I needed it to record, it did not. My porch was vandalized, again, in the morning when there was plenty of light. Customer support was of no help and a waste of my time.I mistakenly also purchased this expensive indoor camera. It is truly terrible. There’s been a loud repetitive clicking/feedback sound in the audio since I first got it, so I can’t hear much on live view besides that. If the sound issue wasn’t enough, the picture quality is garbage. I moved the camera to a slightly higher shelf and now I can’t see anything. No night vision, just a dark, crappy picture. There are probably 1,000 other cameras on the market for half the price that would yield a better picture. Their products are by far the most expensive yet the lowest in quality. Simplisafe is simply CRAP. I have to move my entire security system to another company because I can’t depend on these products.
