Fast USB-C Hub
This 4-Port USB C hub to USB-C is well made, sturdy build and functions as expected. It is extremely fast in data transfers (I was getting up to 186MB/s transferring files between external hard drives that were both connected to the hub. Unfortunately the hub does not allow USB-C charging nor does it allow HDMI pass through: my external monitor is connected via HDMI to a USB-A to USB-C hub which I then connected to this hub and was unable to connect to my external monitor; but this is clearly mentioned in the description of the item. I really like how slim and compact this hub is; does not take up a lot of desk space and would be great for traveling. Highly recommended especially if you have lots of USB-C devices, this is the perfect hub for you.

Excellent for my laptop and accessories
I have multiple external drives which I use and this hub works great for my purpose. I wish I had focused more on the length of the cord but, if the length works for you, I recommend it. Regarding the cord, and based on experience so far, I would prefer the cord be at least 24 inches in length. Anyway, I recommend it if the description meets your needs.

Lightweight and portable
First thing I noticed was how thin the box was. It is definitely portable. It fits well in my laptop bag to take with me so that I can use a wired/wireless mouse when I meet with my clients. I like that this hub has 2 USB-A ports and still has two USB-C ports. I can plug it into my USB-C port on my laptop and it increases my available USB-A ports to four (4) instead of the two standard that come pre-installed without sacrificing my USB-C port. I like to plug a full-size keyboard, mouse, external hard drive and flash drive into my laptop so that I can use it like I would a desktop. The standard laptop does not have enough ports; but with this extension, I can plug in all my peripherals. The case is made of durable metal but is still very lightweight. I believe every laptop needs a USB hub. Even desktops have limited USB ports on the front, and you have to reach around the desktop tower to plug in a device. With this USB hub, there is no need to plug into the back of the computer. You have easy and quick access to plug in whatever you need for however long you want. No need to unplug a flash drive so that you can plug in a portable hard drive. No need to unplug your mouse so that you can plug in an external CD/DVD player.

Turn one USB-C data port into four easily and effectively
The hub is made of aluminum and is not flimsy. The female USB-C ports are far enough apart that it is easy to insert cables in a slot where the slots around it are filled. The cable from the hub to the computer is just long enough to give a little play when plugging it in. It would be nicer if the plug on the hub were not permanent, but one that could be unplugged. Then you could use a longer cable if you needed it.The description clearly states that hub is for data only, so that is what I used it for. I connected 3 different SSD drives and thumb drive with a USB A to USB C conversion plug. There was no apparent speed reduction when reading and writing on any of the connected devices, and when I used all 4 connected devices at once for data transfer, the speed did not noticeably slow.My laptop has only 1 USB-C port and this has solved the challenge of using multiple USB-C devices-more of my devices are USB-C now. This is a great addition to my traveling with my laptop. I recommend it.

Very light and works well
I needed a light portable USB hub to take for my travels, and this one came up in my search. I hooked up one NVMe external drive, two external SSD drives, and one USB thumb drive. All powered on and got connected to my laptop. I got ~1GB/s for the NVMe drive, so the transfer speed was close enough to the maximum speed and acceptable to me. I didn't need this one for video, but I wanted to let others know that this doesn't support video streaming or PD charging, so you can only use it for data transfer.

I got more crashes and weird drive responses when using this
I bought this to have all the extra ports in my daily life, I now only use it on the occasion that I truly need all those ports because of the erratic behaviors I was getting. So yes its nice in a pinch, but it doesn't work for daily use. Davinci Resolve was crashing constantly. And when I hooked up two non-SSD drives they went nutso on this device. I was even scared I had destroyed them. I unplugged this thing, used another method and all was good. Probably should have returned it, but those days have passed.*** UPDATE November 16, 2024 *** Seller reached out and offered a refund. That's cool. I like the idea of this device theoretically, and I still have it. But for the Seller....why not post more information on tricks and situations about usage. I would love to figure out if there are tricks or methods to get it working even if it is only 50% of the usage that I envisioned when I bought it. I got enough paper weights in my life.
