Timely deliver good parts and good tutorials Sun Founder is a good Company.

I bought the kit because I stumbled across their YouTube channel and thought the kit had sensors I have not used and the videos were easy to understand. I am slowly working thought the videos because of defective parts.So far, The Traffic light module had the yellow LED soldered in backwards. Contacted SunFounder and they are sending a new module. I spend a day troubleshooting the push button module because it is not soldered like the diagrams. Testing with an ohm meter revealed the S and the - pins are reversed.After reading the most critical review from March 2023 I am wondering if I should continue or just return for a refund. If the more complicated modules have problems I may not be able to solve them with an ohmmeter.

What you don't get is a manual or booklet like you do for other kits like those who include a Raspberry pi pico. Those have a manual, sensors, and good documentation along with a choice of IDEs. Some even have modular learning (no code writing at all). This one does not. The beginner is left on their own to peruse the web with a couple of site links to figure it all out for themselves (see photos). That makes for an almost perfect kit.Just because it comes with a ton of sensors (pretty much an overwhelming number lol), and a breadboard with connectors to make it work- even a battery to power it- that doesn't make it a learning kit. It just makes it a kit and an almost perfect one, imho.Beside the missing manual, any beginner needs a reference WITHOUT having to go online as they "get started" so they don't burn up the Arduino R4 Minima- some way to guide them through the very first stages without being overwhelmed.The great thing for me about this is that it does make for a nice gift. It is an option for someone who wants to learn how to interface Arduino microprocessors with sensors and displays. Also, you are not tied down to the Arduino R4 Minima board as it'sa slow microprocessorin today'sfaster ones out there (45Mhz clock vs for instance the Raspberry pi Pico at over 128Mhz). You can use any microprocessor like those I mentioned out there to interface all these sensors. The web is complete with help to get you started.You will need a programming interface to code for this microprocessor. Thonky is one such interface that works with windows, etc. Allowing you to use languages like micropython, python, etc. The one supplied in the link is the Arduino IDE 2.0 programming interface.Github is a fantastic repository of code examples for just about every microprocessor ever made, along with examples for all the sensors and displays included in this kit. It's an overwhelming site and one to peruse once you have a handle on using this kit.For beginners to get started, go to the website on the cardboard insert (see photo). There, you can download the Arduino IDE 2.0 app. You will need that to write code for your projects. The website calls its code language "sketch," but it is a form of the C programming language. There is a lot to take in, but if you take your time, it's worth learning.Only one star removed for a missing and badly needed manual. There are better kits out there, but this one is not a bad choice under $100.
