brighter than other nickels I've tried
I've been a stainless steel Foundations fan for a while--beefy fundamental, rich harmonics, good pitch definition on the low B--but I thought I'd give the nickels a try. I like these a lot! They're crisp and clear, harmonics ring nicely, and they last a good amount of time--given that hot, sweaty, outdoor summertime shows tend to kill strings pretty quickly.Think I'm gonna switch to these nickels. The smooth feel and reduction in finger noise is a plus. I've been disappointed with other brands' nickel bass strings--IME they sound dead pretty quickly and lack midrange harmonics--but these are a different animal. Better different...

Excellent quality strings
I have about a week with these strings so far. And so far I am impressed. If these maintain good sound for more than a couple months it may be my new top string of choice.I heard these were low tension strings. Which I worried, because I do not like noodle-ish strings on my bass. But I find these strings to be very comfortable and controlled. I did not have to make adjustments to the neck or string height. (Just some small adjustments for intonation on a couple strings)At a price at ~$25 a set, I will likely buy again.

String broke while installing
Ive tried the other SIT strings and loved them. So I wanted to give the upgraded ones a try. The D and the A string broke while I was installing them. The rest feels nice and sound great. But I play a 5 string so I have. 2 old and 3 new strings on my bass. I may give them another try. It would be nice if I could get a free replacement set.

Great Choice in Bass Strings
S.I.T is one of two brands of string I buy for my guitars. I really, really like them. They hold up well and do stay in tune as the name suggests. They seem to very stable in that regard. The foundations give my 5 string both a the round bass notes I want and enough bright to cut through the mix when I need it.

Shocked
I traditionally play Kalium strings, but their order times and customer service is abysmal so I've been rolling through strings looking for an alternative. I've found myself craving brightness with a lower tension. These seem to hit the spot! Usually I've found S.I.T. strings to be a bit...harsh/brittle in their tone, but these aren't that at all. I was very shocked at how much I like them.
